Your Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Zodiac Sign
The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the community. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to players forming firm views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the good side of both and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many past Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a strategy.
Libra – Mega Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
