Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Views Following Lending His Voice To Controversial Pandemic Film

The "Taken" star has given his narration to a new documentary that questions the efficacy of immunizations and commends one-time government figure RFK Jr.

The Feature's Provocative Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a bestselling book published by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that Covid was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.

Her writing partner, a producer, has also written books with controversial figure Alex Jones. He recently posted praising Neeson's participation in the film.

An Unequivocal Statement

A spokesperson for the actor have issued a comment pushing back against suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vaccine beliefs.

"We all recognize that misconduct can exist within the medical sector, but that should never be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the statement explains. "Liam has never been, and remains not, against vaccines. His extensive work with the UN children's agency reinforces his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement continued that the performer did not shape the documentary's narrative and that questions about its assertions should be directed to the creators.

Key Assertions Featured in the Film

In the film, the script read by Neeson makes several provocative claims:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "medical science has become deeply politicised."
  • RFK Jr is shown saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not properly vetted."
  • The film takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a view that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Context and Current Disputes

The documentary also references a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the subject of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Recently, the political figure called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is repeated in the film, despite a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no such link has been found.

A Past Position of Support

Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The film finishes with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This is not the conclusion of our journey. It is the beginning of a different phase."
