Salah Offers Apology to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the group of players after the controversy from his public comments.
What Happened
Salah was left out from a key Champions League match following making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The head coach has refused to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

The player stated that the team's response was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
He also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I get that there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not intended to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a good place,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games.”
