Football Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, however can the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was previously Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.

My son told me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games.

They have got plenty of talent in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's home form, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
